i don’t know what i thought i was doing
trying to scrape through to the knuckle
of this embellished pile of rubble
we make excuses but the truth is
we were better off when this was just jungle
and there’s something gutless about
the shootings and stabbings in backstreets
would these killers really kill if they
had to do it with their own teeth?

so strip us of the means
