'Earth to Shovel' is the first volume in a new and of course highly original collection from folk musician Ruth Theodore. Tearing around the guitar with hobnail boots and a brass slide, this time Ruth is backed by barber-shop vocals and plenty of rhythm. Recorded live in the River Rat Records studio on board a boat, expect stamping feet, birds, and the sound of people making music.
